UDHAMPUR: The residents of Panchayat Son Thakran appreciated prompt action by MLA Udhampur Pawan Gupta in replacing the transformer.
A deputation of Panchat Son Thakran who were suffering due to burnt transformer for the last more than 10 days in the scorching heat, approached the MLA Pawan Gupta and explained their sufferings and told him that the defective transformer was removed by the department but not replaced.
The MLA immediately spoke to the concerned officer of Power Development Department and issued directions for replacement of transformer and providing power to the village.
The transformer was installed the same day and the villagers were providing relief.
The villagers including Tara Singh Lamberdar, Bansi Lal, Abdul Gafoor, Rakesh singh, Kartar Singh, Sansar Singh, Ratan Chand and Gian Chand hailed the efforts of MLA.
