UDHAMPUR: Vigilance Organisation on Saturday presented charge-sheet (Challan) in the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Anti-Corruption Udhampur against the accused persons including Tarsem Raj Padha, Vijay Kumar Singh, the then Assistant Director CA and PD Department, Udhampur, Ashok Kumar Gupta (Prop. M/S Udhampur Devika Transport Co.), Mohan Lal Manager M/S Udhampur Flour Mill and others in case FIR No.19/2010 under Section 5(1)(d) read with Section 5 (2) J and K P.C Act Svt. 2006 and Section 120-B RPC P/S VOJ.
Vigilance Organisation on the basis of a Preliminary Enquiry had registered a case against the above mentioned accused persons in Police Station Vigilance Organisation, Jammu in the year 2010 for conferring undue benefit to the private truck owners by not deducting 10 percent amount as freight charges as well as charging of excess freight charges for transportation of food grains to food store Pancheri thus causing a loss of Rs. 34,16,802 to the state exchequer. During the course of investigation, the allegations have been prima facie established against the accused persons and accordingly the Challan has been produced against them in the competent court for judicial determination. The next date of hearing has been fixed for 27th December 2014.
