Dear Editor,
China has again sided with Pakistan by using its veto to thwart the UN move to declare JeM chief Masood Azhar a terrorist. Veto is an autocratic and flawed power. How can a single member be vested with the power to negate the move of the majority? The rest of the UN members should resist this provision, so countries like China do not succeed in frustrating a good cause. There is urgent need to amend the existing veto power of the ‘big five’.
