JAMMU: Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Sher-E-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu, celebrated the third day of five-day extravaganza ‘Vet Fest Inicio 2K16’, with the inauguration of the sports events, here on Wednesday.
At the inaugural function, Dr. Pradeep K Sharma, Vice-Chancellor addressed the gathering and expressed advised the students that sports has not been restricted to fun but such activities help to be self esteemed and self confident so as to become most accomplished personnel in life. He also advised them to play games regularly along with the academics and try their levels best to excel in the both.
To encourage the students he himself took the lead and participated in basketball and cricket events.
Dr. M.M.S Zama, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry advised students to make use of all the available resources to showcase their talents and promised to provide improved and quality facilities during his tenure.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr. M.S Bhadwal, Associate Dean, Dr. Rajesh Katoch , Organizing Secretary of the event, Dr. H.R Bhardwaj, Convener of Sports Event and all HoDs along with teaching and non teaching staff of the faculty.
