Vet students boycott classes

R S PURA: A large number of unemployed veterinary graduates and PG/Ph.D students gathered in SKUAST Campus RS Pura premises towards the injustice done by Jammu and Kashmir Govt for rendering them unemployed by not creating the posts till 1980 and not clearing the pending file of 420 posts which are gathering dust at Finance Department along with non clearance of 220 DPC posts. “The Finance Minister thinks that Animal Husbandry Department is a defunct department and does not contribute to our economy which is totally in justifiable since the max portion of economy is contributed by Animal Husbandry, Sheep and Agriculture Department as such a large number of students boycotted the classes at SKUAST Jammu and demanded to close the veterinary colleges at both Jammu and Kashmir where 100 students are admitted in both colleges through competitive level exam” the student leaders said.
