REASI: In order to bring better and closer relations between police and public, Reasi District Police organised police-public interaction meeting under the supervision of SSP Reasi-Sujit Kumar at Talwara on Wednesday, which was attended by Sarpanchs, prominent citizens and youth of the area.
The meeting was chaired by DySP (Hqr) Reasi-Mohan Sharma who was accompanied by In- charge Police Post Talwara-Rajeet Rao.
During the meeting threadbare discussions were held on various public issues including regular market checking, regular patrolling in the area, gambling and drug addiction. Sharma assured the participants that police will continue to work relentlessly against the drug menace and other social crimes and also sought their cooperation in this regard.
He appealed to the participants to share their valuable ideas and suggestions for improving police-public relation in the district.
The participants appreciated and welcomed the initiative taken by SSP Reasi for organising such meetings that would certainly help in bridging distances between police and public.
