Various delegations call on All Party Delegation

JAMMU: Various social and political delegations on Monday met All Party Delegations here.
A delegation of Federation of Industries, Jammu led by its Chairman Lalit Mahajan called on Rajnath Singh, Chairman All Party Delegation (APD) in the presence of Arun Jaitley Union Finance Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS PMO, and other Members Parliament of both the Houses and submitted memorandum seeking immediate relief for compensating the losses suffered by Jammu industry which is on the verge of closure due to current turmoil in Kashmir Valley.
Mahajan said that the industrialization process in the State always at low profile due to the militancy in Punjab for a decade from 1980 onward and the Disturbed Conditions in our State since 1990. “The present position is more disturbing due to Kashmir unrest resulting into gigantic losses of the industrial sector and as such the unit holders are not in a position to pay wages to their staff and all other fixed expenses like power bills, bank interest on term loans as well as working capital limits availed from the banks. The situation is serious due to no cash flow for the last two months since the eruption of unrest in the valley due to which the burden of accumulation in the monthly interest on the borrowings by the unit holders converting their accounts as NPA (Non Performing Assets)”, he said adding under the current circumstances in Valley, it is very difficult for the Unit Holders to run their units.
The FoI demanded that all pending payments pertaining to Industrial Sector for the supply of goods to various Government Departments should be released immediately, release the funds for the clearance of payments of Industrial Sector in respect of various sanctioned claims of Central Package of Incentives from Ministry of DIPP pending since 1st April 2015 amounting to Rs. 60 crore (approximately) should be released immediately, waiver on Bank Interest on the Working Capital and Term Loans from 1st July 2016 to 31st March 2017 with the concessional rate of Interest w.e.f 1st April 2017 for next one year, immediate enhancement of 25 per cent in the working capital limits of the Industrial Units by all the banks without any collateral security, waiver of electricity dues of industry for the period till the normalcy returns in the Kashmir valley, etc.
Members of APD gave a patient hearing and assured to resolve the issues related to the Industrial Sector as early as possible.
The meeting was also attended by Rajesh Jain, Ajit Bawa, Romesh Badyal, Jatinder Aul, Rajinder Gupta (Co-Chairmen), S.B Abrol, Secretary General and Ajay Langer Convener.
Dogra Brahman Pratnidhi Sabha, Jammu Province expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation in the Valley and demanded stern action against the anti-national and anti-social elements so that normalcy in the Valley is restored.
In a memorandum submitted to All Party Delegation, the Sabha President Ved Parkash Sharma and Advocate P.C Sharma alleged that Jammu people have always been ignored and preference has been given to gun bearing antinational and antisocial elements in the Valley. The memorandum suggested that Central Government should be asked to take crushing action against antinational tendency and Pak sponsored militancy.
A delegation of Bharat Raksha Manch also submitted a memorandum to the visiting delegation here today.
“BRM is of the view that the erstwhile State ruled by Maharaja Hari Singh acceded to the Union of India (including Gilgit, Baltistan and PoK) and until these parts of the State are vacated by Pakistan and China the present State of J and K should be brought under direct rule of the Union Government by forming UTs of Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and Jammu as separate entities which will ensure equitable distribution of budget allocations and equal opportunities of employment and other developmental activities.
A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits met All Party Delegation led by Home Minister Raj Nath Singh and presented their view point regarding the unrest in the Valley. President Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, K.K Khosa was part of the delegation and among other things suggestions were made regarding dealing with the present turmoil of the Valley. Suggestions were submitted in the memorandum.
President National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri urged upon the All Party Delegation headed by Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh to include a package of Rs. 9,000 crore in the report which will be submitted to the Union Government by the delegation on their return to New Delhi. In a memorandum submitted to All Party Delegation, Shastri demanded inclusion of Dev Sthan Bawa Bhair Dev in the national map of religious tourist places of the country.
Jagti Tenement Committee expressed resentment against the government for not inviting for talks with All Party Delegation.
President JTC, Shadi Lal Pandita said that wrong policies of government led to failure of talks of All Party Delegation with the stake holders.
A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits led by BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar met All Party Delegation headed by Home Minster Rajnath reiterating its demand that Kashmiri Pandits should be settled at one place in Kashmir Valley with the guarantee of non-refoulment and retention along with statutory political rights.
BJP MLC spoke about the need to take into cognisance the demands of KP employees sitting on strike for the last 50 days who had gone back to Kashmir Valley for jobs however had to flee from there for want of security after the prevailing unrest began in Valley.
The delegation comprised of former Chief Secretary Vijay Bakaya, Dr K.N Pandita Columnist and Patron JKNM, President Kashmiri Pandit Sabha K.K Khosa, President ASKPC Advocate Ravinder Raina, Protesting Employee Representative Rupeen Saproo, Social Activist and community leader Ashwani Chrungoo.
KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri termed All-Party Delegation (APD) meeting with selected persons of KP community at Jammu was just an eye wash, symbolic, photo show and has no meaning under present situation.
A joint delegation of displaced person of 1947 from PoK, comprising Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee represented by Gurdev Singh President and MJR-47 represented by Suchwant Singh Spokesperson met All Parties Delegation headed by Union Home Minister, Raj Nath Singh. They apprised Rajnath and other members of delegation about Rs. 2000 crore package repeatedly announced by the Prime Minister which have not been sanctioned by Government of India despite a lapse of nine months period. They urged upon Rajnath and other members of the delegation to stress upon the State Government to prepare a comprehensive road map taking into account simultaneously all the problem pertaining to both the government.
