Valley-based NPP leaders demand security

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) leaders, who were the contesting candidates in Kashmir Valley, said that they are under threat in the Valley.
Taking to media persons here on Monday, State General Secretary, Panther Trade Union J and K, Sewa Singh Bali asked NPP Chief Bhim Singh to take up the matter with Home Minister for providing of sufficient security to the those party candidates who have contested the recently Assembly Election.
He also alleged the said ruling Coalition Government failed to distribute free ration properly to the flood affected families in the Kashmir Valley.
Free ration is distributed among the influenced persons at the behest of the politicians, he said and appealed to Governor to intervene in the matter personally so that the deserving flood affected families may get relief at this crucial juncture as the Kashmir Valley is in the grip of cold.
He also there is no proper arrangement for providing drinking water as well as electricity in the Kashmir valley along with Banihal, Ramban and Gool.
Candidate from Sopore constituency, Muzaffar Ahmed Lone, candidate from Kupwara, Wali Mohd Khan and candidate from Rafiabad Constituency, Abdul Majid Dar were also present in the press conference.
