SRINAGAR: Former Minister and Member AICC, Abdul Gani Vakil alleged that under the RSS pressure, BJP led Central Government is depriving the State Government of genuine and rightful funding. He said that BJP at the instance of RSS bosses is treating the J and K Government as a hostage and forcing it to adhere to divisive and compulsive ideology of RSS.
Vakil, in a statement issued here on Monday, said that in the worst ever days J and K never witnessed such type of fiscal problems and economic instability. He said that it is evident from the recent happenings and official statements of some Union Ministers that BJP doesn’t subscribe to the ideology and agenda of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed of resolving the contentious issues through a political and amicable mode.
Vakil blamed Union Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar for terror in Sopore and also questioned the silence of Chief Minister on the series of killings at the apple town of Sopore.
He said it is worrisome why Chief Minister is silent on civilian killings at Sopore and said as the head of the State he must explain who is behind all these civilian killings. People of Sopore in particular and people of Kashmir in general need an answer as to whether there is a resurgence of Ikhwanis again. He said Parikar’s statement that “Terrorist should be killed by terrorist” seems to have raised morale of Ikhwanis.
While condemning the killings, Vakil said BJP’s plans of creating a wedge between regions are also intolerable.
“Irony is that Chief Minister maintained a silence on the issues of AIIMS, financial instability of J and K and silence on eviction of Gujjars and Bakerwals in Jammu. Chief Minister must clarify his position on the issues and also explain why Centre has chocked the financial aid to J and K,” he added.
