JAMMU: The Volleyball Association of Jammu & Kashmir (VAJK) has announced to conduct Junior Boys and Girls Selection Trials to shortlist players for the 49th Junior National Volleyball Championships, scheduled to be held at Pilani, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, from 16th to 21st December 2025.
Sharing details about the upcoming trials, Kuldip Magotra, CEO of VAJK, said, “These trials are an important opportunity for our young and outstanding volleyball talent to represent Jammu & Kashmir at the national stage. We are committed to ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process.”
The trials will take place at M.A. Stadium, Jammu, from 28th to 30th November 2025, and will be conducted by the official selection committee of the Association. Players born on or after January 1, 2008, are eligible to participate.
Emphasizing the need for proper documentation, Magotra added, “All participating players must bring their original Date of Birth certificate-preferably Municipal Certificate-along with Aadhaar Card, educational institution certificate, domicile certificate, and a valid medical certificate. These documents are mandatory to ensure age verification and eligibility as per national championship norms.”
VAJK has requested all district units to send their outstanding junior players for the trials. Following the selection process, a coaching camp will be organized under the supervision of qualified volleyball coaches at the same venue from 1st December to 14th December 2025.
Magotra expressed confidence that the selected team will perform exceptionally well at the national level, reflecting the growing volleyball talent in Jammu & Kashmir.
