JAMMU: To hone the talent of 28 players who are selected out of 80 players of under-16 years category after two-day selection trials, Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir is going to organise summer coaching camp for them at JK Public School Kunjwani.
To finalize the arrangements of the same, a team of experts, technicians, coaches and office bearers of Volleyball Association of J and K inspected the JK Public School Kunjwani where two volleyball courts and playing fields have been mounted as per Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) standard specifications.
The selected players would be provided free boarding and lodging facilities during the coaching camp.
“The training schedule comprising skill development, conditioning, swimming, physical fitness besides latest techniques/rules of volleyball game to the campers have been drawn up by Sujad Hussain an International Coach and Naresh Sharma qualified NIS Coach,” Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kuldip Magotra said.
Executive Vice-President of the Association and veteran national volleyball player, H.S Gill unveiled the aims and objectives of the camp which is being organised for the deserving players free of cost for the first time.
Besides Kuldip Magotra, V.K Magotra Honorary General Secretary, R.C. Sharma Treasurer, Akbar Ali Office Secretary, Mohd Tariq Executive Member of Volleyball Association of J and K and all veterans interacted with the players. They provided tips for improving the standard of volleyball game in the State.
Selected players: Rachit Bhau, Himanshu Sharma, Vipan Sharma, Rohit Singh, Vishal Singh, Jasbir Singh, Sachin Bhau, Ankit Chib, Najar Singh, Divyansh Charak, Peer Zada Syed Amaar, Shubam Sharma, Rahul Verma, Abhishek Sharma, Gourav Sangra, Ashish Kumar, Sandeep Sadotra, Gourab Sharma, Ojas Sangra, Rohit Verma, Nikhil Sharma, Sahil Bhardwaj, Kartik Sharma, Nasir Hussain, Basharat Hussain, Bilal Ahmed, Toyab Gul and Waseem Choudhary.
