SAMBA: A District Volleyball Association for Samba district for four years 2023–2027 session formed on Monday during an election held in presence of executive committee of the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir along with other invitees at Tarlokpur, Jakh here.
The election conducted in presence of Rakesh Sharma (Returning Officer), Senior Member of District Volleyball Association Samba, was attended by the members of all the ten volleyball clubs affiliated to district association.
Voting for electing district-body office bearers was held under the supervision of observers from the Volleyball Association of J&K- Kuldeep Magotra Chief Executive Officer, H.S Gill Executive Vice President, and Ramesh Sharma Treasurer.
In the elections, Romesh Kumar Sharma was elected as President while Balbinder Singh Jamwal was elected as Secretary. Shamsher Singh has been elected as Vice President, Sat Paul, Ayisha Tabassum, Rohani Devi and Rakesh Verma as Joint Secretaries and Varinder Singh Jamwal as Treasurer.
The Executive Members include Neeraj Kumar, Surinder Kumar and Gopal Sharma.
“The election process will continue till the elections of all the District Volleyball Association affiliated with Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir complete,” CEO VAJK, Kuldeep Magotra said, adding that the entire election process was commenced on the instructions of Patron-in-Chief VAJK, Raj Daluja and President Sidharth Daluja as per the Constitution of Volleyball Association of J&K and guidelines of Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
