JAMMU: The various units of Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) have launched fortnight drive all across JKUT in connection with celebrations of 12th anniversary of Art of Giving (AOG) , NGO with the theme “Neighbourgood: Bringing Good to Neighbourhood.”
The event encourages acts of kindness and community involvement within the local area, aiming to spread happiness and positivity. Encouraging acts of kindness and community involvement.
The “Fortnight Happiness” celebrations commenced on May 4 and would culminate on May 17, 2025 with mobilisation to people to spend time with loved ones and engage in acts of kindness.
The Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) is engaging its members to participate in the Art of Giving which was founded by Achyuta Samanta, former MP & former President of Volleyball Federation of India on May 17, 2013 with sole aim of sharing expertise of all kinds professional, managerial, sports, social, economical etc with younger generation for making them self-reliant, empowering them to make hassle free society besides making neighborhood an abode of peaceful living. The AOG also reminds us of our role in Nation building.
District Volleyball Association Samba organized an exhibition volleyball match at Trilokpur village in Samba district and also felicitated Mohit Singh for his participation in Khelo India Nationals, which was held at Bihar and brought laurels by winning gold medal in the abovesaid competition.
Romesh Kumar (President, Volleyball Association Samba), Balbinder Singh Jamwal (Secretary Volleyball Association Samba), Satpaul Sharma, Executive Member of the association also participated in the programme.
Undeterred with prevailing situation on borders, Samba District Volleyball Association, an affiliated unit of Volleyball Association of J&K, organised this volleyball match to boost the morale of youth in nation building and in social activities to make neighborhood an abode of peaceful living as advocated by AOG.
Amongst prominent people of the surrounding areas Shivani Bhau volleyball Coach Khelo India and a large number of volleyball lovers attended the function which concluded with light refreshment.
Almost all District Volleyball Associations of VAJK have drawn up special programmes to celebrate 12th anniversary of AOG all across JKUT in a befitting manner for the period ending May 17, 2025.
The office bearers of VAJK saluted Prof Samanta, the founder of AOG, for his benevolent initiatives for overall development of Mankind and support whole heartedly his mission.
