UDHAMPUR: To mark the celebrations of the 77th Independence Day, Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council organized volleyball tournaments at various districts of J&K UT under the banner of Azadi Ka Khel Utsav, Nasha Muqt Bharat Abhiyaan and My Youth My Pride.
In this regard, Volleyball Association of District Udhampur (VADU) on Sunday organized volleyball championship in Khoon area of district Udhampur.
The championship was held under the guidance of president VADU Ashok Padha. Teams of Khoon Volleyball Club, Raiper Volleyball Club, Jakhanoo Volleyball Club and Padoo Volleyball Club participated.
In the final match, Khoon Volleyball Club beat Raiper Volleyball Club by 2-0 (25-11, 25-20).
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Romesh Chander Sarpanch Khoon in presence of special guests, Chain Singh, Sarpanch Palnoo and Pushpinder Singh SHO Khoon.
Other prominent persons present were Ved Sharma, Pawan Kumar Sr Vice President, Ashok Kumar Sr Vice President ex-national player, Kuldeep Sharma national player and locals of Block Khoon. The matchES were officiated by Rajesh sharma PET, Deepak Sharma PET, Jugal Kishore as scorer PET DYSSO Udhampur under the supervision of Suresh Sharma PEM HSS Khoon.
