JAMMU: J and K United School Teachers Association (USTA) President Hari Singh on Monday expressed their grave concern over the non serious and indifferent attitude of the State Government towards their long pending demands of the teaching community which are still unaddressed by the government.
Hari Singh and Rajeev Kumar, while speaking to media, demanded modify irrational, arbitrary and transfer orders made by DSE Jammu, adjust masters whose DPC was made in Feb, 2014, salary, release pending salary of Ret teachers and Masters, 4th and 5th installment of Sixth Pay Commission arrear and DA arrear of masters working under SSA and other long pending demands.
USTA condemned the non-release of salaries and other arrears to a large section of teaching fraternity for quite a long time, which has made their life miserably deplorable.
To focus on these demands, USTA will hold protest near press club on December 19 at 10:00 AM.
Others present in the press conference included Dr. Shashi Paul Singh, Roop Lal, Angat Singh, Kanta Jamwal, Pardeep Singh, Raj Kumar and Madan Singh.
