‘Use improved agronomic practices for summer vegetables’

JAMMU: Department of Agriculture zone Mishriwalla conducted field visits of villages fall under Panchayat Lower Bhalwal under the direction of AEO Mishriwalla Mohan Singh. The agriculture team led by Arun Jaral JAEO Kangrail along with ReZS Sanjeev Wadeera, Yash Samyal and Vishal Gupta conducted the field visit of villages Pakhian, Pandorian and it’s adjoining villages to made the farmers aware regarding improved agronomic practices in summer vegetables.
Farmers were also advised to use balanced dose of herbicides, balanced dose of fertilizers and also to adopt integrated pest management techniques, less use of insecticides and pesticides in their respective fields. Farmers were also asked that after the harvesting of previous crop the field should remain vacant for some days or expose for solarisation in order to expose eggs of insect pest or larva. Farmers were also asked to spray the crop not in the morning as friendly insects remain active in the field.
