JAMMU: J and K Agriculture Officers Association elected Vijay Upadhaya as President while Jagmohan Bhat was elected as General Secretary of the Association.
Others elected were Tilak Raj as Convenor, Rajesh Verma as Publicity Secretary and Aman Jyoti as Cashier.
Earlier, a General Body Meeting of Gazetted Agriculture Officers of Jammu province was held here to deliberate on assured career progression, time bound promotion, pay anomaly, DPC/seniority and re-organisation of department. The meeting decided to carry on the crusade for betterment of human resource development in Agriculture Department with close coordination of Kashmir counterparts of the association and also resolved to seek one time solution for whole of the state cadres, for progress and prosperity of Agriculture Sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
The associates lauded the positive role of Minister Agriculture, Principal Secretary Agriculture, Director Agriculture for initiating streamlining and implementation of One-Man-One-Post norm and also favourable recommendation to the Finance Department for time bound promotion and pay parity of the cadre with vets.
