LUCKNOW: Under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in the direction of making the UP a one trillion dollar economy, the Yogi government is developing a drug pharma park in Lalitpur district of Bundelkhand region of the state.
This park is an important initiative towards meeting the pharma needs of the country. This proposed drug pharma Park is being developed on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has transferred about 1500 acres of land out of 2000 acres of land owned by the Animal Husbandry Department in Saidpur Gram Panchayat to the State Industrial Development Authority (UPIDA) for the drug pharma park in Lalitpur district of Bundelkhand region of the state.
After the transfer of land, it is now claiming to expedite the construction of the proposed grug pharma park project. Pharmaceutical companies will set up factories on this land and manufacture medicines here. World class Common Infrastructure Facilities (CIF) will be prepared to develop the drug pharma park on this land. This project will prove to be important for the industrial development of not only Lalitpur but the entire Uttar Pradesh.
This proposed drug pharma park will act as a powerhouse in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products for the state and the country. The aim of this project is to produce high quality, affordable medicines. This park will strengthen India’s self-reliance in the field of bulk drug production. This drug pharma park will be developed on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. Expression of Interest (EOI) has already been issued to attract leaders of the global pharma sector under this project.
The pharma park is being linked to world-class infrastructure and excellent connectivity through road and rail networks. Under this, high quality roads and rail links will be constructed to ensure convenient movement of logistics. Under this project, industrial townships, sectoral specific industrial parks and other industrial areas will be developed in Lalitpur and surrounding areas. Along with this, thousands of employment opportunities will be created directly and indirectly through the project.
The pharma park will be developed following the standards of environmental protection. In this, not only standard practices like zero liquid discharge will be adopted for the disposal of chemical discharge, but it will also be made the center of India’s pharma needs. Bulk Drug Pharma Park is a part of this vision, which will pave the way to take the state’s economy to new heights.
