UNPRECEDENTED ACTIONS
There is not an iota of doubt that the security forces are rendering herculean task in taming those involved in terror activities in the UT as many terrorists have been apprehended besides others eliminated in the way to restore normalcy. The people sitting at the helm are taking no chances in giving a tough time to those entities which are acting against the rule of law and vitiating peace. It is laudable that the security forces are acting proactively to end terrorism as soon as possible. In this context, Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested two Hybrid terrorists in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district. Reportedly, arms/ammunition, explosives and other incriminating material like 4 pistols, live rounds, 16 gelatine sticks, grenade etc. were also recovered from the aforesaid terrorists which is a big catch as the same could be used to disrupt peace and spread terror in the Valley or elsewhere especially looking into the criticality of the situation on account of ongoing Amarnath Yatra. The arrest of these hybrid terrorists has been made with complete coordination of the security forces as special Nakas were laid on specific information and one of the two arrested ultras was apprehended on the Sanat Nagar Chowk- Rangreth road area in Srinagar. After his disclosure, a Combing and Search Operation was launched along with 50 RR in Pampore area resulting in the arrest of the other hybrid terrorist. This successful operation and many others in the past are due to do synergy between different security forces and the strong intelligence set-up created in the region. The terrorists apprehended belonged to the proscribed terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba and were reportedly involved in transportation of terrorists, arms/ explosive material and providing logistical support to the terrorists of Lashkar-e-Toiba in district Srinagar. One can say that the government has started taking dynamic steps to root out terrorism and the days are not far when the last terror monger in J&K will be either be eliminated or languish in jail. The people have also started supporting the government in the fight against terrorism making it amply clear that sooner than later the peace will be restored in the region.
