JAMMU: BJP state office bearers, senior party leaders and Morcha Presidents on Tuesday utilised the rare opportunity of interacting with the National General Secretary Ram Madhav to register growing anger among the party cadre against its own party ministers as they have not been acknowledging their role in consolidating the party machinery at the grass roots level and continue to ignore them.

Giving specific examples of their conduct the leaders recorded their resentment before the party National General Secretary and warned him if the trend continued the party would face difficulties in retaining its grip over electorate in Jammu region as well.
During the meeting some of the Morcha Presidents highlighted their plight and informed the national leader if party ministers would continue to ignore them how can they trust they are helping the ‘aam admi’ and reaching out to the masses with party’s developmental agenda. Some of the aggrieved party workers even lodged complaints against the senior most cabinet ministers and requested intervention at the highest order to carry out course correction in the coming weeks.
After listening to their grievances, Ram Madhav is learnt to have assured the party leaders that opposition party leaders are spreading false hood by levelling baseless allegations against the BJP ministers of involved in money laundering of old currency notes.

Earlier, BJP said that demonetisation was necessary to break the backbone of black money and other anti-national activities though it has caused “little inconvenience” to the general public.
“It is true that people in general have to face little inconvenience at few places but for the good of the country, the countrymen should be prepared to face some hardships,” BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav said while addressing party functionaries here on Tuesday.
He said that demonetisation was one of the bold and transformative decision which will serve multiple purposes.
“It will work by breaking the backbone of black money, diminish fake currency, hawala transactions, and give severe blow to drug mafia and the funding to terrorists and anti-national elements,” Madhav said.
He stressed upon the party leaders to reach out the masses to educate them about the benefits of demonetisation and expose the opposition parties for their misinformation campaign unleashed to tarnish the image of the Modi government.
The BJP leader said that it was a major and courageous step that no previous government ever dared to take.
“The bold decisions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past two-and-a-half-years are aimed at making India one of the leading countries in the world,” Madhav said.
He said that not merely reformative but the NDA government has taken transformative decisions to put India on the track of rapid development while meeting the aspirations of common masses, downtrodden and under privileged classes.
“The goal of the present NDA government is not to enjoy power but to ensure country’s dignified place at the international level. Its decisions with regard to empowering the common masses, providing the essential facilities to the people and in the matter of defence, foreign affairs, and communication sector and in the economic fields are commendable,” he said.
