UDHAMPUR: Girls of Udhampur Zone won under-14 handball and yoga and under-17 yoga titles in the District Level Inter Zonal Tournament, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports in the disciplines of under-14 and 17 handball and yoga (girls) at Mini Stadium Udhampur, which concluded on Monday.
In under-14 handball, Udhampur Zone defeated Jib Zone by 06-01 while in under-17, Majalta Zone beta Udhampur Zone by 07-06.
Yoga under-14 and under-17 final were won by Zone Udhampur defeated Ramnagar Zone respectively.
About 115 girls drawn from different Zones of the District participated in the tournament. Sunil Singh Sambyal District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Santosh Kumari, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Udhampur, distributed the prizes among the winner and Runner up teams.
The matches were officiated by Ravi Singh, Des Raj Sharma, Bandana Sharma, Rishi Kumar Sharma, Vikrant Balgotra and Karun Magotra.
Among others who were present on the occasion were Swarndeep Singh Tara, Ajay Sharma, Vipin Photra and Pooja Sharma.
