JAMMU: Udhampur Zone won Handball and Yoga under-14 and 17 boys titles in the District Level Inter Zonal Tournament, which concluded at Mini Stadium, here on Tuesday.
Uhampur Zone won under-14 and under-17 handball title by defeating Jib Zone by 08-02 and Tikri Zone by 13-01 respectively. Udhampur Zone defeated Ramnagar Zone in under-14 and inder-17 yoga finals respectively.
Chief Guest, Sunil Singh Sambyal, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur, gave away prizes to winner and runner up teams.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest exhorted upon the students to participate in such competitions to make physically and mentally fit in the society.
The tournament was organized under the patronage of Jahangir Mir, Director General Youth Services and Sports, J and K.
The matches were officiated by Ravi Singh, Des Raj Sharma, Bandana Sharma, Rishi Kumar Sharma, Vikrant Balgotra and Karun Magotra. Others present were Jaswinder Singh, Swarndeep Singh Tara, Ajay Sharma, Vipin Photra, Ravi Kumar, Sourabh Pandit and Pooja Sharma.
