Udhampur Attack: NIA awaits sanction from MHA for filing Challan

JAMMU: Special Judge NIA Kishore Kumar on Saturday extended 14 days Judicial Remand of Mohd Naveed alias Usman son of Mohd Yaqoob R/o Kukianwala, Rafiq Colony, P.S. Ghulam Mohammed Abad, District Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat son of Gulam Mohammed Bhat resident of Bhatpora, Chursoo, Awantipora, Pulwama, Showkat Ahmed Bhat son of Ali Mohd Bhat resident of Village Khardermuh, PS and District Pulwama, J&K and Shabzar Ahmed Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Nai Basti, Gulshan Abad, Quimoh, Police Station, Kulgam, District Kulgam, Khursheed Ahmed Ittoo and Fayaz Ahmed Ittoo alias Foyaz alias Fayaz in the fidayeen attack case on BSF convoy on Jammu Srinagar National Highway on August 5, 2015.
After hearing Spl. PP for NIA whereas Advs Subodh Singh Jamwal, PN Bhat and Seema Sharma appearing for the accused persons, the Judge observed that as per the investigation of the case, two accused namely Ashiq Hussain Bhat alias Ubaida and Fayaz Ahmed Shawar alias have also been found involved in the conspiracy hatched behind the terrorist attack on BSF convoy on August 5, 2015 in Udhampur district, however, they are yet to be arrested and the investigation of the case has been finalized and the case has been processed for accord of sanction for prosecution with MHA which is still awaited, as such, further detention of the accused persons is necessary for launching the prosecution against them. After going through the CD, file Special Judge NIA Kishore Kumar extended the 14 days judicial remand of the accused persons.
