Uday Bhanu Chib is NSUI National Secretary

JAMMU: Uday Bhanu Chib has been appointed as the National Secretary of National Students Union of India (NSUI) by Rahul Gandhi on the recommendations of Girish Chodankar, AICC incharge of NSUI and Roji M John, National President of NSUI.
Chib thanked Congress leadership for reposing faith on him and assigning him the responsibility at national level.
Chib is an engineering graduate from Pune University and an MBA from Arni University Himachal Pradesh. He hails from Paloura Jammu and son of Hari Singh Chib, Senior Congress leader and Rajni Bala.
He has been the first elected state president of NSUI in J and K and also remained state general secretary of NSUI before his election as state president in 2011. He is known for his leadership and work for the betterment of student fraternity and taking the NSUI to the new horizons in J and K.
Thanking the leadership for the appointment, Uday Chib said that his first priority would be to strengthen the organisation so that the voice of students gets heard by the government and none of the students feel deceived in any way in the nation.
“I have to keep in mind the interests of students at national level and have to work for the student fraternity in whole of India” Uday added.
Welcoming the decision of appointment of Uday Chib as national secretary, Shahnawaz Choudhary, who was also a National General Secretary of NSUI few years, said that it is very fortunate that a student leader of our state is being appointed at this post.
Chib’s appointment was also welcomed by State Committee of NSUI in J and K. Iftkhar Ahamed, All India Election Commissioner of NSUI and Fairoz Khan, National Secretary of NSUI also welcomed the appointment of Uday Chib to the national committee.
In a statement, Neeraj Kundan, State president of NSUI said that the State unit of NSUI is thankful to the leadership for the appointment of a dedicated leader as National Secretary and is hopeful that Uday will represent them to the higher levels in future.
