Two thieves nabbed in Poonch, stolen goods recovered

POONCH: Police on Tuesday arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items on their disclosure.
As per the details, police received a number of complaints from shopkeepers at Mandi regarding night thefts in which locks/shutters of many shops were broken by thieves and a bid to loot an ATM also. Upon this police intensified night patrolling in the area and picked up few suspects to solve the theft in the Mandi market in which a case vide FIR No /2017 under section 457 /380 RPC was already registered.
A police team led by SHO Police Station Mandi Mehraj Din khan under the supervision of Shahid Nahiem Choudhary on the directions of Rajeev Pandey Senior Supdt of Police Poonch solved the theft case and recovered stolen mobiles and few other articles from the possession of Haqnawaz alias Sonu son of Late Abdul Aziz resident of Seri khawaja and Mohd Nasir son of Sher Mohd resident of Sawari Tehsil Bakori Dist Rajouri. Other two member of their gang are still at large which were identified as Mumtaz Ahmed alias Matta resident of Seri Khawaja and Shokat Hussain resident of Khari.
