JAMMU: Two teenagers riding a motorbike were crushed to death when a speedily driven truck ran over them at Bari Brahmana on Thursday afternoon.
Police said, the truck (JK02AP /1125) driven by Daljeet Singh, son of Kanhiya Singh, resident of Parkh Tehsil Pouni District Reasi hit one Pulsar motorcycle (JK21B/6030), killing motorcyclist Sanju Mashi (18), son of Pinka, resident of Rajiv Colony Bari Brahmana and his pillion rider Rahul Manhas (16), son of Suresh Manhas, resident of Lane number 4 Bari Brahamana on-the-spot.
An eye witness informed the police that the driver of rashly driven truck when reached at SIDCO Chowk, near Giani Hotel on National Highway Bari Brahmana, lost control over the vehicle and ran over a Pulsar motorcycle killing Sanju Mashi and Rahul Manhas on-the-spot.
Both the bodies wereshifted to mortuary GMC Jammu for postmortem. Police have registered FIR 102/2016 under Section 279/304A RPC and started investigations. Police has seized the truck and arrested the driver.
