Two-month long test series concludes at SRCC

JAMMU: With the holding of sixth test in General Studies and each Optional, the two-month long comprehensive test series for the upcoming JKPSC (KAS) Mains examination concluded at SR College of Competition, here on Sunday.
“The test series in General Studies and other
Optional subjects like Zoology, Geography, Political Science,
Public Administration, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Urdu and Agriculture was a success because of the fact that around 200 students involved in the exercise expressed their satisfaction over the efforts put in by the institution,” said Director of S R College, Parveen Sharma.
After the conclusion of test series, the college has planned to hold two mock tests in General Studies and each Optional before the actual Mains examination slated for 17th July.
“Likewise the test series, we have planned two mock tests in General Studies and other Optional on Wednesday and Sundays before the forthcoming Mains (KAS) examination,” disclosed Director SRCC.
He mentioned that the concerned faculty have put in a lot of efforts in preparing the Mock Tests which would help students have a feel of real test conditions.
“Students will be exposed to the actual exam like conditions. It will help them learn time management, attempting number of questions in given time. Moreover, valuable hints by the faculty members after the tests are evaluated shall certainly help improve. It is a routine at SRCC to make students aware of their shortcomings and issues related to writings of answers by the concerned faculty. Such an exercise just before the exam helps students improve their score in the Mains exam,”elaborated the director.
Since a lot of selections are from J and K in UPSC (IAS), a good number of students from the State have shown interest in such test series. With the result, the SR College has started giving more importance to such exercises by involving experts in the field.
