REASI: Army and police in a joint search operation on Sunday busted two major hideouts and recovered arms and ammunition, thus averting a major tragedy.
According to sources, based on the specific intelligence inputs about presence of hideout/cache, joint search operations were launched by 60 Rashtriya Rifles of Reasi based Uniform Force and Police on Sunday.
During the search operations, two major hideouts were busted.
In the first operation at Makhiddhar Forest, the recovery included one AK 56 rifle, 18 rounds of AK 56, two magazines (rusted), 50 sniper rounds and two rounds (rusted) of 7.62 MM SLR.
In second operation at General Area Dhanubhan, west of Ichni Nallah, the recovery included one AK 56 rifle, three magazines and 40 rounds.
