NOWSHERA:Two persons were killed during a head-on collision between two cars on Jammu – Poonch National Highway near Nowshara.
According to report two cars collided on Jammu – Poonch National Highway near village Thalka, Tehsil Nowshera late in the night at 11:00 PM in which two persons died on the spot and two others were injured. A Maruti car bearing registration No JK02AQ-3941 was coming from Rajouri to Jammu while at Duster car bearing No JK14C-0908 was going from Jammu to Rajouri.
The Maruti car borne persons namely Vikas Gupta (40) son of Om Parkash Gupta resident of Rehari Jammu and Rakesh Kumar (45) son of Ranjeet Singh resident of Bakshi Nagar Jammu died on the spot while Kewal Krishan and Narotam Dass travelling in Duster Car were injured. All the victims were shifted to Sub District Hospital Nowshera. The bodies of deceased were handed over to their family members on Sunday after autopsy.
The Nowshera Police have seized both the vehicles and registered a case for investigation.
