JAMMU: Two persons were killed when a vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge in Poonch District, police said on Thursday.
The duo were on their way to a picnic spot when the vehicle (JK12-9014) in which they were travelling skidded off the road and
rolled down into the deep gorge at Chatta Pani on Mughal Road in the district late last evening, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Poonch, Amit Gupta said today.
The deceased have been identified as Riaz Ahmed, son of Shakeel Ahmed, resident of Gursai Mendhar and Gulam Moiudin, son of Nissar Hussain, resident of Alal, Thanamandi, Rajouri. Bodies have been handed over to the families after completing legal formalities,.
A case has been registered in the matter, the ASP said, adding that investigation is underway.
