SRINAGAR: Police on Wednesday recovered two kidnapped girls and arrested person involved in the commission of crime.
As per details, Police Station Kulgam received a complaint from a person stating that his daughter was kidnapped by one Suhail Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, resident of Nonmai Yaripora. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 232/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kulgam and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, a team headed by SHO Kulgam was constituted. Acting on specific leads, the team was able to recover the kidnapped girl and arrested accused person involved in commission of crime. He was shifted to Police Station Kulgam where he remained under custody. After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her legal heirs. Investigation into the matter is in progress. In another case, on December 3, 2020, Police Station DH Pora received a complaint from a person that his daughter has been kidnapped by one Rayees Ahmad Khanday, son of Ghulam Mohiudin Khanday, resident of Nagnard DK Marag. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 181/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station DH Pora and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, a team headed by SHO DH Pora was constituted. Acting on specific leads, the team was able to recover the kidnapped girl and arrested accused person involved in commission of crime. He has been shifted to Police Station DH Pora where he remained under custody. After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation into the matter is going on.
