Two JeM among three terror associates arrested

Srinagar: Two terrorist associates of the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) were arrested here on Wednesday and two grenades recovered from their possession, police said. “Two terror associates of JeM namely Arshad Mushtaq S/o Mushtaq Mangroo of Badibagh Pulwama & Suhail Majeed Mir S/o Abdul Majeed Mir of Machpuna Pulwama arrested by Srinagar Police,” police said in a tweet. Two grenades were recovered from them, police said, adding a case under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Act has been registered.
Meanwhile, security forces arrested a terrorist associate linked with proscribed outfit, The Resistance Front (TRF), in Bandipora district, police said on Wednesday.
Police along with the Army and CRPF arrested the terrorist associate at a checkpoint established at Kehnusa Bandipora in north Kashmir, a police spokesman said.
The spokesman identified him as Aatif Amin Mir, a resident of Manzpora Aloosa Bandipora. A hand grenade and other incriminating materials were recovered from Mir’s possession. A case has been registered and further investigation initiated, he added.
