Two IPS among 5 SPs transferred; 4 IPS given higher grade

JAMMU: Two IPS officers among five Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been reshuffled on Wednesday. Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar, IPS (JK:2011), awaiting orders of adjustment has been posted as SP West, Srinagar replacing Paramvir Singh, who has been posted as Additional SP Budgam.
Vinod Kumar, IPS (JK:2011), awaiting orders of adjustment has been posted as SP North, Jammu vice Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan, who has been posted as Dy. Commandant IRP 5th Battalion.
Javid Ahmad Dar, Additional SP Budgam has been transferred and posted as Dy. Commandant IRP 2nd Battalion.
Meanwhile, the Home department on Wednesday placed four IPS officers of 2007 batch in the Junior Administrative Grade of IPS.
The order states as, “sanction is hereby accorded to the placement of the following IPS officers of 2007 batch in the Junior Administrative Grade (Pay Band: 3, Rs.15,600-39,100 with grade pay of Rs.76001-) of IPS with effect from 1st January, 2016. The officers include Dr. Sunil Gupta, SP Leh, Sujit Kumar, SP Reasi, Vivek Gupta, SP CID CI Kashmir and Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, SP Udhampur.
