Two held for black-marketing CAPD ration

JAMMU: Police on Sunday seized over 300 kg ration meant for Below Poverty Line (BPL) category rationees, which was being transported to Kalakote for black marketing.
Talking to STATE TIMES, SSP Rajouri Haseeb Mugal said that during the wee hours, a police party intercepted two men identified as Mohd Altaf, son of Mohd Hussain and Sain, son of Peroo, resident of Gadyog, who were smuggling government supply ration on ponies.
On enquiries, it was found that both had collected the ration through the dealer Munir Hussain from Bandigalla and were taking it to adjoining areas for sale in open market.
Police team led by SHO Kalakote Insp Chaman Gorkha seized the rice bags and conducted a raid at Kalakote CAPD store. The Store Keeper, however, managed to escape.
On this case FIR 87/2014 u/s 3/7 ECA and 409 RPC stand registered in PS Kalakote and further investigation taken up.
