KATRA: Police on Tuesday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered Charas, poppy straw and intoxicating capsules from their possession.
According t a report, a police team headed by Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, SHO Police Station Katra, acting on a specific input, rushed to Police Check Post Moorie and laid special checking. During checking, the police team recovered 100 gms of poppy straw (Bhuki) and 49 intoxicated capsules from the possession of Sanjay Sharma son of Om Parkash resident of Nomain Tehsil Katra District Reasi. The accused was arrested and Bhuki and capsules seized. A case vide FIR No. 80/2016 under section 8/15/21/22 NDPS Act, was registered at Police Station Katra.
Meanwhile, acting on specific input the police team of Police Station Katra recovered 90 gms of Charas from the possession of Bhanu Partap Singh son of Varinder Singh resident of Panassa District Reasi at Banganga Road Katra. The accused has been arrested and the contraband seized. A case vide FIR No. 81/2016 under section 8/20 NDPS Act, was registered at Police Station Katra.
