Two die as mini bus turns turtle in Rajouri; LG expresses grief

Rajouri: A mini bus overturned in Rajouri district on Thursday, leaving two passengers dead and 12 others injured, officials said.
The private passenger vehicle was on its way to Kandi from Budhal when the accident took place near Phani Tran village around 11.30 am, they said.
Block Medical Officer, Kandi, Dr Iqbal Malik said the injured were brought to community health centre, Kandi and two of them Shakil Ahmad of Kewal and Badar Hussain of Kandi – succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile, the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, has expressed shock and grief over the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Rajouri. In a condolence message, the Lt Governor said: “I send my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families and wish those injured a speedy recovery. I have issued instructions to the district administration to provide all necessary assistance to the affected persons.”
JKPCC expresses shock over the loss of two precious lives and serious injuries to several others in a road accident near Budhal area of Rajouri district.
JKPCC chief Vikar Rasool Wani, Working President Raman Bhalla, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, District President Shabir Ahmed Khan have expressed deep shock over the loss of lives and prayed for peace to the departed souls besides sympathies to the bereaved family members.
They also prayed for early recovery to the injured and asked the LG administration to provide best medical treatment to them.
They demanded adequate compensation /ex gratia relief to the families of the deceased and injured passengers.
