Two denied bail in culpable homicide not amounting to murder

JAMMU: Sub-Judge Ramnagar Renu Dogra rejected the bail applications of Rajinder, son of Ram Ditta, resident of Baryalta, Tehsil Ramnagar in Udhampur and Shankar Dass, son of Mangat Ram, resident of Dhanwait, Tehsil Ramnagar District Udhampur who were allegedly involved in 304 RPC (Culpable homicide not amounting to murder).
As per police report, a team of Police Station Ramanagar received an information that a child has been injured by a gunshot. Consequently, an FIR was lodged and investigation swung into motion. During investigation, it was found that the gun was lying with accused Shankar Dass and he gave it to accused Rajinder who kept the same behind the door of Kitchen and gun was loaded at that time. Accused Rajinder took the child inside the kitchen and served food to him. While the child was taking food, accused Rajinder came out of the kitchen and shot was fired and child received injuries who later succumbed. Police report further revealed that consequent upon the involvement of accused persons in the commission of offence the accused persons were taken into custody.
Court after hearing both the sides observed that the allegations against the accused are very serious and offence is heinous in nature. With these observations Court rejected the bail applications.
