JAMMU: To raise general health awareness and to highlight the importance of regular health check-ups, two days mega multi specialty medical camp commenced here at Medanta-The Medicity Hospital on Saturday.
The camp is being organised by Rotary Club of Jammu Aastha and Aggarwal Dharamshala Jammu in association with Medanta -The Medicity (A Multi Super Specialty Hospital Gurgaon) Haryana.
On day one, doctors from various specialties and Super-Specialists Dr H R Tomar-Cardiology, Dr Sunil Yadav Neurology, Dr Raman Kant Aggarwal (Sr Director) Bone and Joints, Dr Jasveer Kour from Gynaecology, Dr. Krishna Soni Diabetes, Dr Suruchi Gupta Eye, Dr Manik Gupta Dental and Dr Monika K Goel from Physiotherapy along with paramedic staff rendered their services to patients and try to raise awareness about diseases in their respective fields.
Teams of doctors examined the patients with problems related to general health, general medicine, cardiology, gynaecology, physiotherapy, eyes, orthopedics, neurology, clinical nutrition, diabetes, physiotherapy, etc.
Blood pressure check, blood sugar test, ECG and Echo cardiograph, BMD, diet charts, and physiotherapy services were also provided free of cost.
Rtn Sumil Goyal President Rotary Club, Rtn Surinder Bansal Project Chairman RCJA, and officials from Rotary Club of Jammu Aastha and Aggarwal Sabha were present on the occasion. Around 300 people attended the camp and were provided necessary consultations.
While talking to the media persons, Dr Ramankant Aggarwal, Dr H.R Tomar and Project Coordinator Medanta Sudhanshu Sharma gave detailed objectives of the organisation and divulged about the services offered at competitive and affordable ranges.
