JAMMU: Two brothers have been arrested while an unidentified Sikh youth managed to flee after they stabbed a security guard at Wave Mall on late Wednesday evening.
The accused brothers identified as Anil and Sahil, both sons of Krishan Kumar, resident of Block H Qtr 16 B Channi Himat Jammu initially entered into verbal duel with the security guard over the issue of frisking.
At the same time, a Sikh youth, another visitor, also refused to undergo frisking. This led to scuffle between the trio and the security guards. In the meanwhile, one security guard Gaurav Sharma who was on CCTV footage duty intervened. He received injury near his right ear. Gaurav was immediately shifted to hospital, where doctors stitched his wounds. However, they claimed that his condition is stable.
Both the brothers were taken into custody while the Sikh youth managed to flee from the spot. CCTV footages are being scrutinized to identify him, police said.
FIR 17/16 under sections 341/323/RPC 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Trikuta Nagar.
