TSN emerges district champion in Tennis Ball Cricket

REASI: The District Level inter school tournament organised by District Youth and Sports Services Department, Reasi concluded here on Saturday.
Trikuta Shiksha Niketan Reasi emerged Champions by defeating Government High School Aghar Jitto by six wickets in the finals of District Level-Inter School Tennis-Ball Cricket for boys under 17 at General Zorawar Sports Stadium Reasi.
IPS (Prob) Amod Kumar Nagpure was the Chief Guest and Bansi Lal Kerni was the Guest of Honour on the valedictory function. District Youth Services and Sports Officer-Dr S.S Chib, Pardeep Nag, Tour Kumar, Jaswant Singh, Ashoka Kumari, Devinder Kour, Ajay Kumar, Ram Asra and a large number of locals were also present.
Nagpure stressed upon the role of sports in the inculcation of cherished human qualities like that of unity, fraternity and sportsmanship. He added this is where the competition starts; one understands the meaning of team and also starts valuing friendships.
After winning the toss, HS Aghar Jitto chose to bat first but could score only 41 runs in the stipulated overs. KP Singh of Aghar Jitto scored 17 runs with three boundaries for his team. TSN fielded superbly and got four wickets in the form of run-outs. Varun Singh of TSN bagged three wickets for his team. Batting Second, TSN achieved the target with hands down at the loss of just three wickets.
The final match was officiated by Avinash Kumar, Opinder Pal Kuldeep Raj and Manzoor Hussain.
