Trust-deficit root cause of unrest in entire sub-continent: Hamid

JAMMU: Stating that trust deficit was root cause of prevailing unrest in entire sub-continent, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former member J and K State Advisory Board for Gujjars and Bakerwals, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti intends to see an end to hostilities so that good relations are made with neighbours and an era of peace and development started on a positive note. Appreciating the statement of Party Chief and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti made on the last day of budget session of State Legislative Assembly, Choudhary Hamid hoped that as desired by late Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and present CM Mehbooba Mufti both India and Pakistan will end hostilities, resolve differences and begin a meaningful dialogue for peace and prosperity of the region.
Choudhary Hamid said Chief Minister has reiterated that a meaningful dialogue between India and Pakistan on Jammu and Kashmir is part of ‘Agenda of the Alliance’ of the Coalition Government which is a comprehensive document for resolution of all issues faced by the State.
Referring to good governance in the State and smooth conduct of budget session, the PDP leader said that those engaged in war of nerves were real pillars of the society and such battles of ideas must be continued for sustaining democracy in the State and giving vent to people’s voices.
