UDHAMPUR: Police on Tuesday nabbed a trucker at Chenani and recovered 75 Kg poppy straw from his possession.
As per details, during routine Naka checking, a team from Police Station Chenani led by SHO Insp Pushpinder Singh under supervision of SDPO Chenani intercepted a truck (PB13X-8955) for checking at Motorshed, NH, Chenani, Udhampur. During search, 75 Kg poppy straw was recovered from the driver namely Malkeet Singh, son of Charan Singh, resident of House No. 50, Chamba Kalan, District Taran Taran (Punjab). The accused was arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No. 129/2020 under Section 8/15 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Chenani.
