NOWSHERA: An unidentified trucker died in an accident at Nowshera on Tuesday.
According to a report, during intervening night, a truck (JK02F/8557) met with an accident at Dhalyian, Nowshera. Receiving the information a police party reached the spot and found that the said truck has been rolled down on Highway after hitting a roadside rock, resulting in serious injury to the truck driver. Police rescued the injured with the help of Back Hoe (JCB) and shifted the injured to SDH Nowshera, where doctors declared him brought dead. A case vide FIR No. 196/2017 under section 279, 304A RPC was registered and investigation taken up. The identity of the driver could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist died on the spot while another got injured when their motorcycle was hit by a bus near Bagnoti on Jammu-Poonch National Highway. The deceased was identified as Mohd Jabar (22) son of Mohd Iqbal whereas injured was identified as Raza Muraad (18) son of Mohd Ishaq both residents of Dandesar.
The injured was shifted to Nowshera hospital from where he was further referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for treatment. Police has registered a case, seized the vehicle and arrested driver of the bus.
