UDHAMPUR: The day-rail service commenced for Katra from Jammu has increased the problems of daily commuters and common men said National Conference leaders while speaking in a meeting.
Daily commuters told that they were in long hope to get better and comfortable rail service after extending services up to Katra station, but results come out quite adverse.
They asserted that the day Railway Department has started the Katra rail service it has created acute unrest and discomfort for daily rail passengers adding passengers have to travel in standing.
They expressed their annoyance towards railway authority and PM Modi as they assured had people of hassle free service to Udhampur and had promised would press more DMU trains on Udhampur-Jammu route keeping in view the increasing rush before launching Katra service.
They urged the railway authority to provide employment opportunity to locals as per their earlier commitments, push more DMU in service between Udhampur-Jammu, open more tickets/reservation counter working round the clock at Udhampur and to change name of existing name of Ramnagar Station to Roun Domail Station.
