Transporters extend support to farmers’ agitation, to observe ‘Chakka Jam’ today

JAMMU: Extending support to the Bharat Bandh call given by the protesting farmers on December 8, the Chairman, All J&K Transport Welfare Association, T S Wazir has said that there will be complete Chakka Jam on Tuesday in support of ongoing agitation of farmers.
While interacting with STATE TIMES, Wazir flayed Government for passage of anti-farmers’ bills and its apathetic attitude towards farmers, who are protesting on roads in this harsh winters. He further said that farmers are backbone of our country any injustice with the farming community would not be tolerated. He asked the Government to fulfill the demands of the protesting farmers for resolving the issues in the larger interest of people.
Meanwhile, during an emergency meeting of Sikh United Front (SUF) J&K and an amalgam of various Sikh organisations J&K, held under chairmanship of Sudershan Singh Wazir, Chairman SUF, the members extended support to the Bharat Bandh call of agitating farmers.
While speaking on the occasion, Wazir extended full support to Bharat Bandh call of farmers on December 8. “It is a fight for all ‘Annadatas’ in the country. The black laws must be withdrawn as it would destroy agriculture by mortgaging it to corporate,” he added. He made a fervent appeal to people of J&K to extend their support to the farmers’ cause.
