Transport Deptt violates of rules, regulations: Wani

JAMMU: State President, Jammu and Kashmir State Samaj Sudhar Committee (JKSSSC) Jammu, Mohammad Yousuf Wani on Thursday said that in Transport Department violations of rules and regulations have taken place as those candidates who are deserving employment under SRO 43 have been ignored and deprived of their rights.
Quotating an instance, Wani told reporters that one Amar Nath who was serving in J&KSRTC died during the year 1999 while in his active services and his son Anil Kumar had applied for this engagement under SRO 43.
It is surprising that since Anil Kumar who was entitled for his engagement under SRO 43 has been ignored and deprived of his rights putting him to sufferings, he added.
Wani said that the Committee is not opposing retrieving of the forest lands by evicting the unlawful encroachers but those areas which have been converted in residential colonies like Bathindi, Sunjwan need to be brought under Jammu Municipal Corporation and such colonies need to be regularized which will be in the best interests of the General masses.
Wani has further said that influential political leaders have occupied forest lands and have constructed their residential houses government should demolish first such residential houses and then other area inhabited be poor people.
He appealed to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister for their personal intervention into the matter to prevent the residential colonies brought in forest lands need to be regularized so as to earn for the government.
