UDHAMPUR: One month training programme on value addition in fruit and vegetable started at village Sail Jattan Panchayat Ghar.
A large number of rural women reached the venue at scheduled time inspite of severe cold.
Chief Horticulture Officer Udhampur C.L Sharma inaugurated the camp and enlisted the various other activities taken by Deptt. of Horticulture Udhampur for the betterment of farming community in general and women folk in particular.
Incharge MCC/ DLSMS (Entomology), S.K Gupta along with Canning Instructor, Nirjal Dass briefed the farm women about the importance of such training programme.
At the end Sarpanch Sail Jattan thanked the Chief Guest for conducting on farm demonstrations of departmental activities at village level.
