Traffic Week celebrated in rural areas

SRINAGAR: As a part of the celebration of 26th Road Safety Week, an awareness programme was organised at Dak Bungalow Baramulla, in which the Deputy Inspector General of Police North Range Kashmir was the Chief Guest.
On this occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police, Baramulla, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Executive Officer Baramulla, Dy. S.P Headquarters Baramulla, SHO Baramulla, representatives of other offices, transport, traders union, civil society members and 400 orphanage home children were present.
Free stationery items were distributed among the children. Then the children held a road show from Dak Bungalow awaring general public for the benefits of traffic rules.
Meanwhile, Sumo rallies were also held at Magam-Budgam, flagged off by Tehsildar Magam, Pandach Ganderbal and Kangan besides medical camp was organized at Bus Stand Pulwama in which the doctors from District Hospital Pulwama held free medical checkup of the participants.
Road show was conducted at ERO Presentation School KP Road Anantnag and awareness programme conducted at Kangan Sumo stand.
