Traffic violators won’t be spared: RTO

SAMBA: Regional Transport Officer Jammu, Pankaj Mangotra on Monday acted tough against traffic violators and swooped on Jammu Kathua route to book violators, especially in passenger vehicles. He challaned 30 vehicles and seized 2 vehicles for violation of MVA Act.
Speaking on occasion, the RTO Jammu said such drives would continue to check the violations and penalize the violators under relevant sections, besides ensuring safety. While seeking cooperation of people from all walks of life, the RTO Jammu said masses should respond to such campaigns, and understand the magnitude of the problem. “The number of road accidents could be brought down if the people cooperate with the department,”, he added. He further added that Parents should respond to the situation and do not gift speed and power vehicles to their children, and instead try to bring required behavioural change in them so that road accidents could be avoided to a large extent,”
Later, the RTO Jammu also launched a signature campaign to generate awareness among road users regarding road safety. ARTO Samba Rehana Tabassam, MVI Vikas Srivats Official from ARTO samba accompanied the RTO Jammu.
