Traffic police seizes 3 vehicles, Challans 90

POONCH: Taking the traffic rule violation as a challenge, the Traffic Police Poonch has launched a drive against the menace to deal with it firmly.
The District Traffic Inspector (DTI) Poonch Mohammad Sadiq Jatt under the supervision of SP Traffic Rural Jammu Dushant Sharma, Dy SP Rajouri-Poonch Range Madan Lal Sharma laid number of traffic Nakas on Highway between Poonch to Surankote. The DTI seized three vehicles, Challaned 90 and realized a fine of Rs. 12,000 through compound Challans for violating the traffic norms.
Three passenger vehicles were seized for want of valid documents and various vehicles were Challaned mainly for over loading. The DTI during interaction with the operators told them that overloading is the main cause of fatal accidents and it needs to be avoided. He said that traffic Nakas will be regular phenomena in which no defaulter would be spared. DTI has Challaned 1,200 vehicles and realized a fine of Rs 1,70,000 during March, 2016.
